The cave has numerous chambers and passageways and is around 300 metres long, but the tour length is about double that size as you are walking between different chambers few time.

The “Great Hall” (Fochuv dom) which is the largest chamber, measures 40 metres long by 20 metres broad and up to 10 metres high. Beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, and other unusual rock formations are what make the cave so well-known.

The public was allowed access to Balcarka Cave in 1957 after it was found in 1933. At the end of the 2000s, the route was renovated, lighting was added and the passages were modernized.Currently, tourists can take guided tours of the cave to explore its stunning formations and discover its geology and history. From April to October, the cave is accessible to tourists; it is closed from November to March.
